Everything. I like that you have to leave your shoes at the entrance of the hotel so you can wear their slippers and robe anywhere in the hotel. There’s a gentleman at the entrance who was very helpful to my boy with special needs when he had difficulty leaving his shoes at the entrance. Great customer service. The hot spring was simply lovely and relaxing that we decided to use it for all 3 days. The hotel also has extra surprises for a foodie like me. Location wise, it’s right next to Nara station so it was really convenient for us. The deer park is just a short bus ride away. Lastly, we opted for the hotel’s japanese breakfast and it was delicious!! Still thinking about it now. :) While it’s pricier than the other hotels we stayed in throughout our trip, it was well worth it.

A great place. Close to the train. But never heard it. The staff: TERRIFC ladies and gents, always willing to help, explain and translate Super clean. We had to take our shoes off before entering the hotel... we stored them in lockers on the ground floor. They would even clean the wheels of our suitcases before we took them to our rooms! They had BEAUTIFUL and impeccable Japanese hot baths, indoor and outdoor, a cold bath and a sauna. Ices and ice cream on the house after you used the Onsen In the evening they also served a wonderful noodle soup for anyone who was hungry. Delicious! No charge. We all went to the dining room in our hotel pajamas. Pretty funny - Oh... they provided massage chairs. Amazing. No charge. Yes, a great place...!

The staff are excellent- always trying to help , although they did not have a Japanese/English translator- we were able to communicate using Google translate. The onset is a lovely oasis of hot and cold baths. Free noodles in the evening, ice cream and bottles of water were appreciated. Laundry is available as well. The location is absolutely perfect for Mara park and the JR train line. Starbucks is across the street, in the tourist information centre, where there is luggage depot , free walking tours and English translators. Alongside is a grocery store- fridge is in the room- and a great noodle restaurant and bakery-

- Absolutely wonderful onsen experience: For the internationals who don't know how this works: You have to go completely naked. Men and women are separated. Tattoos and phones are strictly forbidden. Per person you get two 15cm stickers to cover up the tattoos for free. The onsen is open from 3pm to 10am so you can go all night if you want. In sum, the onsen experience was the highlight of our Japan trip. 100% recommend! - Overall beautiful ryokan-style premium experience with all the commodities you might need - Free massage chairs that actually do a pretty good job

Thomas

I did not use the onsen, but the room was very nice, in kinda modern Japanese style: low wooden furniture, tatami floor, shoji on the windows. Very clean. Shoes off policy through the whole building. You leave your shoes in a locker downstairs and walk around in your socks. Excellent breakfast, the best I ever seen! Amazing variety and quality of food. They also include a complimentary bowl of ramen, but it was served too late in the night. (around 9:30 pm)
